Born in Listowel Ontario, May 13 1952, Gregg started playing
piano when he was three years old. He took Royal Conservatory
Lesson until grade 10, writing songs and creating music at a very
young age and was already playing in bands in public school. His
first band was called ‘The Green Tamborine’.
Gregg has had a long and varied career, playing with many
Canadian bands, including Sweet Blindness, Quiet Foxx, L.E.J.Q.,
Sass Jordan, Entourage, Spott Farm, Featherwheel. He went to
England in 1980 to record and tour with Uriah Heep, then toured
the world in 1984 with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd.
In 1985 Gregg joined with Brian Howe and the Bad Company
to write, record and tour the world for the next three years. He
then toured with David Knoffler for 6 months before returning to
Canada to front the Gregg Dechert Band.
Currently, Gregg’s time is devoted to playing with
Breakwater Blues Band, Riverside Blues Band, the Legends of
London, and now, his latest project, Silent Dragon, with a lineup
including his daughter Coco Linscott, Hans Landedyc, Mike Sloski,
Trevor MacKenzie, Steve Cuneo and Steve Telehus.

Gregg also has a music school and has been successfully
teaching for the last 15 years, always looking forward to breaking
new musical ground and experimenting with new musical ideas.
Silent Dragon is currently in recording sessions and

The Mike Whaling Band

www.myspace.com/whalingmusiccanada

Mike got into the guitar at the young age of 11, and from the first open string strum, he was hooked.  By 19, he was ready to get serious, and moved from the then small town of Hanover, Ontario, to the city of Toronto.  Mike quickly formed a band and started into the blues scene.

Fifteen years later, Mike has recorded two solo records, made many guest appearances, found airplay in Canada, and Europe, and shared the stage many great musicians.  Now based in the Stratford area, Mike spends much of his time recording, and writing.  Joining Mike live is Sean Blute on sax, Cam Dougall on bass, and Stephan Szczesniak on drums.
